The Bangkok Lions Mini Rugby Union (BLMRU) will be holding a junior rugby competition for children
interested in training and match play.
Registration will take place on
Saturday, March 13, at Bangkok Patana School from 9am. Training and games will
start on Saturday, April 24, also at the Bangkok Patana School.
The organisers need as many young players as possible to turn up and register so
they will have enough players and teams to run a proper league.
The rugby "season" will last approximately 10-12 weeks and boys
- and girls - aged
from four to 17 are welcome.
The cost will be Bt 2,000 per child. This includes a shirt, a pair of shorts and
socks, all made from an appropriate material so that it won’t get ripped.
If you are interested in your child being involved, please contact Bruce Hill so he
can get an idea of numbers. His email address is
subru@loxinfo.co.th.
Bruce can also be contacted by phone on 017543142 between 6pm and 7pm.
Any children wishing to play will need a gum shield and boots. No metal blades will
be allowed.
The organisers, a bunch of dedicated parents and rugby fans,
have urged people to come along and support kids rugby
and have a great time.
