Gavin Henson Ready for Welsh Debut

Gavin Henson will make an early return from injury and be rushed straight into the London Welsh lineup against Saracens FC on Sunday as he hopes to make one last push to impress the selectors ahead of the autumn tests for his country.

The Wales international was injured before the start of the season and he hasn’t started a single game for The Exiles in the new season and even if he impresses the selectors for his club, he will need a miracle and a lot of injury crises for the national team to even have a chance of being selected for the national team set up.

The 30 year old, signed in the close season by the newly promoted side was looking to making his debut for The Welsh back in August but after he fractured a check bone in the last pre-season friendly for his club against the Llaneli Scarlets. And although it was expected that the newly promoted side would struggle without the services of the charismatic and enigmatic playmaker, they have not missed him much and have had a decent start to their campaign.

Many people thought that The Exiles were taking a risk when they signed the enigmatic player for free at the close season, especially since he has had three clubs in the last months including Sunday’s opponents Saracens FC, Toulon and the Cardiff Blues, all the spells ending in tears; but The Exiles showed no hesitation in signing him up when they had the chance and they will integrate him straight into the lineup now that he is fit and raring to go with a point to prove.

And maybe, Gavin Henson in full flow might just be a bit too much for Saracens FC to handle, considering their weak defense and midfield.
