Wallabies (Australian Rugby Team) are trying really hard to block out all the drama and controversies that are surrounding the team just before the much awaited final match of the 2014 Rugby Championship against Argentina’s Pumas on the 4th of October, 2014.
Ever since the Australian Rugby Team lost against the Springboks (South African Rugby Team) on 27th of September, 2014 everything has been going downhill for the Wallabies.
Wallabies’ poor performance during the 2014 Bledisloe Cup had hampered their reputation. Along with that, their degrading performance against the Springboks and the verbal altercation controversy related to Kurtley Beale surely battered the already shattered image of the Wallabies.
James Horwill (former captain of Wallabies) has been selected for the upcoming match against Argentina and he said that the team is fully aware of the fact that the championship has to be finished appropriately.
Horwill also said that last week’s performance had been disappointing and since they are not winning the championship, it proves they have not done certain things rightly. However, he is positive that the Wallabies will be able to end the Rugby Championship with a bang.
According to Horwill, the team is less distracted in Mendoza and is focusing on working hard for the final match of the championship.
Ewen McKenzie (coach of Wallabies) has also been facing a lot of pressure in relation to the Beale controversy and the upcoming game against the Pumas. Wallabies had also lost their luggage when they arrived in Argentina and McKenzie had to manage this issue as well.
McKenzie said that the match against Pumas is a difficult one because the Pumas have been playing well but have not got the chance to win any of the championship matches. Therefore Argentina will try hard to win the final match and Wallabies are going to try equally hard to end the championship by winning this match.
